helmet_efdsw_69A team of students at the Cheng Shiu University have invented a motorcycle helmet equipped with wind turbines to power the two-wheelers headlights, direction indicator lights and tail lights.  When the bike is in action, the helmet starts generating electricity, being equipped with a set of five small wind turbines.

The helmet is equipped with four batteries which can store the electricity generated by the fans, transmitting it to the two-wheelers lights. The cost of all the gadgets cost 30 US dollars, which does not include the cost of the helmet. The students are trying to improve the invention by cutting the weight and size of the fans and to use smaller batteries. In the future they plans to find a factory to mass-produce the helmets.
