About 150 Prius vehicles belonging to a new generation will be tested in Europe by the Japanese producer to see how these cars behave in real life. The models can be loaded from any outlet and are equipped with a new lithium-ion battery.
Tests begin at the end of this year in Strasbourg and finished in 2010 in Germany and Netherlands. Toyota aims to obtain more information after the car testing.
In the 100% electric mode the Toyota Prius plug-in version has an autonomy of only 10 kilometers and can reach a speed of 100 km / h. The Japanese producer estimates that the new Prius version is 60% more economical than the current model.
