Another famous car producer makes itself friend of the environment: the first three green cars from Mercedes Benz will be presented at the Detroit Auto Show in 2009. The Mercedes Benz promise that it will show to the public a BlueZero range of “green cars”.

The first proposal from Mercedes Benz, BlueZero E-Cell, is a 100% electric car, fitted with a Li-Ion battery. It can run autonomously on a distance of 100 kilometers, and the batteries charging duration is estimated at two hours. The second proposal, BlueZero F-Cell, has a hydrogen engine.

Finally, BlueZero E-Plus is a hybrid of the first two, similar to the Chevy Volt model: a three-cylinder engine supplemented by a Li-Ion battery. BlueZero E-Plus will be able to do 600 km in a perfect autonomy.
