A team of researchers at the Michigan State University have recently developed prototype for an internal combustion engine that could revolutionize the world. Unlike the current engines, the new prototype is capable of reducing auto emissions up to 90 percent.
An engineering team from Winnipeg is claiming to have invented the world’s most energy-efficient car of the future. Their vehicle design, dubbed Ubree, short for Urban Electric Car with Ethanol backup, is for the moment just a wooden model.
Scientists have created the smallest electric motor by getting two atoms at very low temperatures and than placing them in a alternating magnetic field.
General Motors claims that Homogeneous Charge Compression Ignition (HCCI) provides up to 15 percent greater fuel economy than a comparable, non-HCCI engine by radically altering the combustion process. In general terms, the pressure and heat within an HCCI engine’s cylinders are used to ignite the air/fuel mixture without the aid of a traditional spark-generated flame [...]
The ecological model called Jetta TDI, launched by Volkswagen won the prize: “Green Car of the Year” at the Los Angeles auto show. Is the first time when this award is granted to a car with diesel engine. In the final contest, Jetta TDI outran the 335d diesel sport sedan models from BMW, Fusion Hybrid [...]
The Rolls-Royce company announced that it was designed a new propeller engine, more efficient, because if it is introduced on 100-200 seater planes could save 10,000 tons of CO2 and three million dollars per year. Near the engine’s rear, the Rolls Royce design uses two sets of propellers that rotate in opposite directions. So, the [...]
On the one hand, one of the world’s most polluted countries is China, but on the other hand they are not unaware of the ill effects of the excessive use of fossil fuels and find solutions to eliminate the greenhouse gas emissions and to make a cleaner environment. This country is investing a considerable time [...]
