Eco models at the Geneva Motor Show

At the Geneva Motor Show 2009, the auto producers around the world will present over 130 world premieres, as the automotive industry for a few days trying to dispel some of the bleak prospects about it’s future.
The “eco” technologies will have an important place at the Geneva Motor Show, this area will benefit from an entire pavilion, in which will be presented not only cars with low fuel, but also new technologies, ranging from hybrid cars to cars that operate on batteries. The Austrian producer Magna Steyr will come with an electric concept.
The model is powered by an electric engine of only 67 horsepower, which can operate through lithium-ion batteries that will power the car for almost 150 kilometers.
TechArt Magnum is another project of the famous tuner which will be presented at the Geneva Motor Show, the basic car is a Porsche Cayenne Turbo S.
Italdesign Giugiaro will present the world’s fastest hybrid concept at the Geneva Motor Show. The Giugiaro concept uses an electric system along with a special engine to generate power for the electrical system.
Octavia GreenLine, world premiere
In the world premiere will be presented at Geneva the Octavia GreenLine model, with a consumption of 4.4 liters per 100 kilometers, and carbon dioxide emissions of 116 grams per kilometer.
