Eko Vehicles is an Indian manufacturer which recently has announced the development of the world’s first production hybrid motorcycle called ET-120. In short time this motorcycle will run on the Indian streets, offering about 280 miles per gallon with a top speed of 40 miles per hour.
The ET-120 has been developed with assistance from U.S.-based Emerging Technologies, using a 70cc gasoline-powered engine mated up with a small electric motor, and according to the company the machine will offer performance on par with a typical 120cc motorcycle.
This hybrid motorcycle is expected to go on sale in India for just $855. It may not be as interesting as electric motorcycles from Brammo or Zero but due to it’s low price it will be accessible to a lot more users.
