World’s Largest Wind Farm Will Be Built In Oregon

World’s largest wind farm, 909 MW, will be built in Oregon. The announce was made by the Utility company Southern California Edison(SCE) who plans to build the farm. This construction will be unique in world.

The project, called Caithness Shepherd’s Flat will be located in Morrow and Gilliam counties in North-Central Oregon, and will have about 303 wind turbines which will generate around two billion kWh of energy. That’s amazing!!

Oregon has become known as the state with the most many wind turbines. When this project will be completed, Oregon will become one of the nation’s leading producers of renewable energy because it will joins others such as Texas and California. The construction of this project will be ready by 2012.
