A New Battery Capable to Store 1MW of Power

renewable-energy_ynGJX_69In this year the last news in the batteries field is that Ceramatec has developed a new battery that can store up to 20KWh of green energy. But now Switzerland-based private equity fund Micro Finance Investment AG announcing a new record in this field. They claim that have developed a new lithium polymer cell capable to store 1MW of green power.

“We have been investing in the development of this technology for four years and it is now ready for production,” he said. “We are targeting the smart grid and energy infrastructure market, as well the market for onsite back-up power.” Micro Finance chief financial officer Andreas Stamatiou said.

Stamatiou refused to name the company that is developing that has developed the technology but the mass production of the battery should being in two years and the first model will be available in eight months.
