In comparison with other materials, which catch a small fraction of the potential energy and a small range of light frequencies, the new material can capture all the sunlight’s energy. The team leader, Prof. Malcolm Chisolm, said that the advantage of this material is that they can cover entire range of the solar spectrum.
I am sure the this amazing discovery, made by the Ohio State University team, in some years will move from the laboratory towards commercial development and will opens a new way to the development of a new generation of hyper efficient solar cells.
