Researchers at the Purdue University have discovered a new technology that saves energy and servicing costs by indicating when air conditioners are low on refrigerant, preventing the units from working overtime. The new “virtual refrigerant charge sensor” is particularly practical for automotive air conditioners, which tend to leak refrigerant more than other types of units.
This discovery was made by a group of researchers at Rice University which have founded a new way to improve the efficiency of lithium-ion batteries: use carbon-nanotube/metal-oxide arrays as electrode material.
Veljko Milkovic is the inventor of this amazing 2-stage mechanical oscillator that could be a source of clean energy. The machine is composed of two parts: a pendulum and a lever. When these two elements are combined the gravitational and centrifugal forces work to produce free and clean energy.
The world’s first chlorophyll organic battery was created by professor Chungpin Hovering Liao of National Formosa University in Taiwan. To power up, this amazing battery can use any liquid, even urine. The battery starts providing power in only 10 seconds of being doused with liquid. Besides its advantages, the battery has a disadvantage : it [...]
A professor at the Federal Institute of Technology in Zurich, Switzerland, named Hansjürg Leibundgut, said that he will start the construction of a apartment block equipped with carbon free technology. The apartments will contain cooling, heating and solar energy systems. These systems are different from those of private homes. The entire apartment block will run [...]
The Rolls-Royce company announced that it was designed a new propeller engine, more efficient, because if it is introduced on 100-200 seater planes could save 10,000 tons of CO2 and three million dollars per year. Near the engine’s rear, the Rolls Royce design uses two sets of propellers that rotate in opposite directions. So, the [...]
