Capital Wind Farm to Power 60,000 Homes

Capital Wind Farm was officially launched by Prime Minister Kevin Rudd, NSW Premier Nathan Rees and Minister for Climate Change, Senator Penny Wong yesterday. The Capital Wind Farm, the largest wind farm in New South Wales, is situated in Bungendore and will boost Australia’s wind power capacity by more than 10 per cent.

World’s Largest Offshore Wind Farm will be Ready in 2012

World’s largest offshore wind farm will be built 12 miles away from the south coast of Kent, England. With an army of 341 wind turbines over an area of 90 miles, the 1 gigawatt offshore wind farm will produce enough energy to power 750,000 houses.

Vodafone Has Installed Wind Turbines

Vodafone announced that it successfully started generating electricity from wind energy to it’s mobile telephony network.
